SamjhoBolo is a Hindi-first English-learning application for progressing from absolute beginner to advanced communication. It works in web browsers and as a native Android application.

📦 Getting Started

Prerequisites

• Node.js (v18 or higher recommended)
• Android Studio (for Android builds)

Installation

1. Clone the repository and navigate into the project directory.
2. Install the dependencies:

npm install

3. Start the development server:

npm run dev

The app will be available at http://localhost:5173.

📱 Mobile Development (Android)

SamjhoBolo uses Capacitor to package the web app into a native mobile application.

To build and sync the project to Android:

npm run android:sync

To open the project in Android Studio:

npm run android:open

To build a debug APK directly from the terminal:

npm run android:build-debug

📜 Available Scripts

• npm run dev: Starts the Vite development server.
• npm run build: Compiles TypeScript and builds the production web bundle.
• npm run preview: Previews the production build locally.
• npm run lint: Runs the oxlint linter to find code issues.
• npm run android:sync: Builds the web app and syncs it to the Capacitor Android project.
• npm run android:open: Opens the Capacitor Android project in Android Studio.
• npm run android:build-debug: Automates the process of building the Android Debug APK.
